Judy currently coordinates the Unit Introduction to Teaching in both the Summer and Semester 2 modes and is a coordinator of Professional Internship. She has previously coordinated units in Society and Environment curriculum.

Judy is interested in both the preparation of pre-service teachers and the design and implementation of professional development programs for qualified teachers. She has directed national professional development projects in History, Studies of Asia and Civics and Citizenship utilising Reflective Practice and Action Research methodologies. Her research centres on the changing nature of teacher's work.

During 2007-2008 Judy is a member of the Curriculum Improvement Leaders Project funded by the Carrick Institute which aims to improve the quality of teaching and learning at the University and particularly to enhance post-graduate participation in the School of Education.
