Senior Lecturer in Educational Assessment and Research Methods, Andrew's teaching responsibilities currently include units on the processes of assessment, social science research methods, and program evaluation, at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Andrew's evaluation work has centered on the systematic appraisal of innovations in the public schools, typically using mixed-method evaluation designs. Andrew's research interests include the use of mixed methods in research and evaluation, including the processes educators and others use to judge the merit, worth, or value of education programs, personnel, and products. In particular, Andrew's interest lies in how practitioners and policy-makers in education and other fields gather evidence, and put it together for the purpose of making decisions in the educational domain. Andrew also holds ongoing interests in standards, teacher change, school reform, action research, and environmental education.
