Modes of Study
Full time, part time, internal and external study is available, however, not all required units are offered completely externally. Some 'practical' units are offered as short-term sessions on-campus or in Perth metropolitan schools. Some electives are offered in Summer Semester. Primary and Secondary Teaching (Graduate Diploma in Education) The Diploma has an extended academic year which begins in January. (Please check our calendar for exact details). Full time, part time, internal and external study is available, however, not all required units are offered completely externally. Some units are offered as short-term sessions on-campus or in Perth metropolitan schools. Education Studies Internal, external and summer school units are available. Most established streams can be completed in the external mode but not all elective units are available. Some units may are available only every second year. Tertiary and Adult Education Full time and part time, internal, external and some Summer Semester study is available. LOTE and TESL Full time and part time, internal, external and some Summer Semester study is available. Opportunities are also available for the inclusion of either a semester or year in Asia as part of a program of study with LOTE education focus. Social Research and Evaluation Full time and part time with internal, external and some Summer Semester study is available. The program is not fully available in the external mode. Most internal units are offered at 4:30pm. Master of Education Internal, external, Summer Semester, off campus on-line and compressed units are available. Internal units are offered late afternoon or in compressed versions. Doctorates These programs are not completely available in the external mode but it is possible to arrange external supervision for some dissertations for some period of time. Internal and external units are available. Internal units at this level are offered at 4:30pm or in the Summer Semester session.
