Graduate Certificate in Education Studies

Course Code: C1082

This course offers professional development for teachers who want to qualify for teacher registration in Western Australia, deepen their expertise in particular aspects of Education, or broaden into new areas of specialisation.

The Graduate Certificate in Education Studies is a uniquely flexible graduate-entry qualification, available to Bachelor level graduates with an Australian or overseas teaching qualification from a recognised institution, who are ineligible for registration in Western Australia. For Initial Teacher Education qualifications see the Bachelor of Education, the Bachelor of Education (Graduate) or the Graduate Diploma in Education.

The course content is tailored to suit each student's requirements and combines Education Studies and Specialist Studies usually, but not necessarily, in a non-Education field. Students will construct their own unit set in consultation with the Academic Chair to best meet their needs.
