Leadership & Management Development Program
This program, designed to develop the leadership potential of staff from different levels within the Department of Treasury and Finance, builts on a similar program developed for the Department of Conservation and Land Management. Over 60 participants have been involved in the program since 2002, including managers, and those aspiring to management roles in the organisation. The key leadership themes addressed are Perspectives of Leadership, Leading to Change, People Management, Group Processes and Project Management. The program comprises 3 key components: residential with interactive workhops; action learning based project work; and a recall day involving the presentation of findings and reflection on individual and group learning. The program is continuing to evolve and will be provided for Treasury and Finance staff into 2004.
